Let us introduce ourselves: Rob and Natalie, the founders of Stonewild Heritage. We both grew up in the smallest of small towns, surrounded by mountains, running wild, raising animals, and building forts out of sticks. As young adults, we felt a call to serve our country—Rob joined the Marines and Natalie joined the Army.

 

We met in Baghdad, got married, built our careers in the tech world, had a few wonderful kids, and moved frequently. Eventually, we got tired of the rat race and found our little slice of forested paradise in the mountains of North Idaho.

 

We made this move for our kids and ourselves, returning to our roots.

As a family, we’re passionate about using YHWH’s creation as He intended. We love natural remedies, essential oils, and whole foods. Our journey includes addressing health concerns with herbs and minerals, cultivating silvopastures with regenerative methods, and raising our animals as naturally as possible with nutritious feed, rotational grazing (we’re getting there—it’s a work in progress), and holistic care.

We believe kids learn best through hands-on experiences. Our homeschooling blends project-based learning with Charlotte Mason-inspired techniques, so our bookshelves are packed with classic literature and living books. After their math and grammar lessons, you’ll often find our kids diving into projects they’re passionate about. These projects have included everything from designing and building animal shelters to knitting shawls and creating leather earrings.

We firmly believe that YHWH’s Word is a lamp for our feet and a light on our path (2 Timothy 3:16-17 and Psalm 119:105).
